Splish Splash

Greetings and thank you all that stop by my blog.  Our weather here in the Pacific Northwest is still soggy and we just can't seem to get rid of that atmospheric river weather front.  So I thought today's design was just perfect for our weather.

I coated all the rain slickers with the Glossy Accents for shine.  I added a cape, pockets and bow to the rain slickers.  Each umbrella is coated with Glossy Accents and then Art Glitter.  Raindrops are created using the Viva Glass Effect Gel.  The white clouds are also coated and dusted with Art Glitter and mounting tape for dimension.

Materials:
Art Glitter - Crystal 85  (for umbrellas)
Impression Obsession - Boy with Easter Basket, Girl with Easter Basket, Boy with Flowers & Flying Witch (cape)
Memory Box - Stitched Clouds, Tiny Stockings & Tiny Box
Mounting Tape (clouds)
Poppy Stamps - Stitched Umbrellas
Ranger - Glossy Accents (rain slickers)
Viva - Glass Effect Gel Crystal Clear (raindrops)

Hi everyone, thank you for your wonderful comments on my previous post.

Orchid Stem

Hello everyone we have had such crazy weather lately, first 6" of snow, then heavy rains with wind. Finally a couple of dry days.  I spent my time indoors making this design.  The Orchids are time consuming but worth the time.  I first die cut all the pieces, the darker orchids are from card stock called Sunflower.  The other one is light yellow.  For the stems I just die cut the flowers in green and cut them apart and glued to them to the stem. Even through I used Wink of Stella the picture does not show the wonderful sparkles.

Materials:
My Favorite Things - Lily
Wink of Stella
Card stock - Sunflower, Light Yellow, Black, White and Purple

Layered Holiday Design

Greetings everyone, I meant to post this design a while ago but it just never happened.  I created the entire design just using layers without mounting tape.  I cut several clouds and added them to the top of the card.  Then die cut the Village House, Country House and Manor House and just trimmed pieces from them until I had a house with a steeple and second story.

For the trees I added glitter card stock and the top snow covered stacker tree and used blue and red Nuvo Crystal Dots for the ornaments.

Materials:
Dee's Distinctively - Small Snow Covered Stacker Tree
Impression Obsession - Fir Trees, Boy with Easter Basket & Mountain Landscape Layers
Lawn Cuts - Puffy Cloud Borders & Stitched Hillsdie Borders
Memory Box - Star of Wonder, Village House, Country House, Manor House & Swirled Lollipops
Nuvo Crystal Drops - Red & Blue

Craft Note:  I recently purchased a thin galvanized metal board by ArtMinds from Michael's craft store and a package of magnets.  I have it on my craft table and I find the magnets really hold the paper in place while gluing and creating my cards.

Have The Sweetest Birthday

Greetings everyone, hope you are all doing well.

Materials:

Cuttlebug - Polka Dot Embossing Folder
Die-namics- Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame
Impression Obsession - Cupcake Stand
Mounting Tape

Pretty In Pink

Greetings everyone.  I hope you are well and finding lots of time to craft.

Sometimes when I start a card nothing goes right, but the stars must of been aligned that day because everything seemed to work for this design. I really went out of my comfort zone to create this design. I started with the white Floral Oval and added the solid pink Classic oval to the center.

I ordered the Colorfin Pan Pastels from Amazon but I am the worst at coloring anything so I have been dragging my feet using the set.  I first die cut the flowers using a while card stock and then colored the flowers with the Permanent Red Tint & Magenta.  I added a yellow glitter card stock for the center of the flowers. Using the Climbing Vine die in green card stock I used it for the shape of the design, then tucked several Gentle leaves behind the flowers and added the larger Poinsettia leaf.  I attached white flowers to the Leafy Spring and tucked them around the foliage.  To complete the design I die cut the Meridian Border twice and added it to each side.

Materials:
Colorfin Pan Pastels - Ultra Soft Susan Gardens Artist Pastel Set
Elizabeth Craft Designs - Garden Notes Small Poinsettia
Impression Obsession - Tiny Flowers
Memory Box - Meridian Border (retired)
Poppy Stamps - Blooming Poinsettia (leaf only), Climbing Vine, Gentle Leaf & Leafy Spring
Spellbinders - Floral Ovals & Classic Ovals Large

Just a little Valentine

Hello, and a big thank you to everyone that stopped bye and left such nice comments on my last card.   I did not even know I had a Stitched Scalloped Circle but I thought it went really well with the design.

You will need to die cut the little girl twice, once in white and then red card stock to create her dress.  I added a glitter trim to the bottom of her dress.  To create the hair I die cut the head in brown card stock and just used scissors to create the hair.  I used mounting tape behind the girl to add a little dimension.

Materials:
Impression Obsession - Tiny Flowers & Girl with Easter Basket
Memory Box - Stitched Scalloped Circles
My Favorite Things - Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame
Mounting Tape
Poppy Stamps - Leafy Sprig

Chibitronics Light Up Birthday Card

Finished Card

With battery pressed on card

I wanted to try my hand at making a really simple light up card using the Chibitronics kit I ordered from Amazon.  It actually is very easy to use and I was able to get my card to light up on my first try.  The kit comes with a nice instruction booklet, LED Stickers in all colors, coin cell batteries, battery clip and a roll of self adhesive Copper tape.  I also watched several video's that feature different ways to create your lights.  I only wanted the candle to light up so I used one LED directly behind the candle.  I hope you will give this technique a try.

Materials:
Chibitronics Kit
Poppy Stamps - Birthday Candles
Memory Box - Petite Cake & Pastry Labels
Impression Obsession - Happy Birthday
Spellbinders - Standard Circle Large

Trailing Hearts

I would like to enter my card into the Impression Obsession Card Challenge

Thank you everyone that stopped bye and left such nice comments on my last card. Wow I can't believe it is 2017 already.  Since out weather is still wintry with snow, ice and wind I thought I would make a Valentine card to reflect the chilly temperatures.

I just realized every die I used except the frame was an Impression Obsession brand.

I first die cut the oval frame using two sizes listed below then die cut twice and cut the Spring Wreath foliage in half and attached it around the frame and doted it with Nuvo Crystal Drops.  Using the Hill Landscape die I created the snow mound and added the blue water to it and attached to the oval frame.  I used glitter paper for the Mountain and a blue cloud card stock for the sky and glued them to the frame.  Then I tucked the trees along the sides and added the Ducks with their scarfs and only used the kite sting with the attached hearts.

Materials:
Impression Obsession - Duck Set (DIE398-F), Spring Wreath (DIE262-Y), Kite (DIE153-I), Fir Trees  (DIE084-V), Hill Landscape Layers (DIE343-T), & Mountain Landscape layers (DIE347-W)
Nuvo Crystal Drops - Red
Spellbinders - Grand Nestabilities Grand Ovals (frame)(3-3/4" x 5", 4-1/4" x 5-5/8")

Elves bring home the tree

Thank you everyone that stopped bye and left such nice comments on my last card.

As 2016 comes to a close I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed stopping by your blogs and admiring your fabulous creations.

As many of you know my dad passed in October and at the same time my mom now has been diagnosed with ALS, (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.)  It is not  familial at least as far as we know, but I know 2017 will bring many challenges.  I wish good health to everyone and hugs to those that need some.

We are having really cold weather, low in the morning or 18 degrees with a high of 33.

Materials
Dee's Distinctively - Large & Small Alpine Tree
Taylored Expressions - Jolly Old St. Nick (just used the elves)
Impression Obsession - Fir trees, Icicles & Classic Truck
Lawn Fawn - Stitched Hillside Borders

Old Saint Nick's House

Thank you for stopping bye and for all the lovely comments you left on my previous card.

We have been having some really cold temperatures here in the Northwest, my husband and I purchased four Blue Spruce trees to plant and when we got them home and unloaded we discovered the ground was frozen solid.  Really I am glad none of the neighbors were filming us otherwise I am sure we would of shown up on a You Tube video.  It really was a funny site to see, we finally gave up until a few days later when it started raining.

I only used the top part of the Manor House die and then trimmed off the sides.  As you can see if went overboard on the glitter, the silver really is pretty even though the picture does not show it very well.

Materials
Spellbinders - Card Creator 5 X 7 Matting Basics B
Dee's Distinctively - Alpine Tree Large & Small
Impression Obsession - Santa's Sled
Precious Marieke - Icicles

Have a wonderful holiday

Best of the holidays to everyone and I hope you are doing well, and thank you all so much for your visit and wonderful comments on my last card.

We had snow again and the temperatures were so cold that is did not melt, so the roads tend to be icy.  The black bear we have living near the forest is still out and about, he knocked down my trash container and proceeded to stick his head into the container and pull out some chicken scraps.  Made a huge mess, then climbed the tree in the back and knocked my brand new Squirrel Buster Bird Feeder to the ground.  Dragged it over to the grass but thankfully was not able to get it open or damage it. Really what happened to the theory bears hibernate.

Anyone that stops by knows I love the Lady Dancing die, I can always find so many fun ways to use it.

I added a little mounting tape to the back of the dog and Lady Dancing and also the snow mounds.  I glittered the trees and the fur trim on the dress. I coated the red dress with glossy accents for a little shine.  I always die cut the lady twice so I can use the legs and arms to re-position them as needed.  I also die cut the body with the dress in white card stock then trimmed the pieces off and attached them to the cuffs and skirt.  I tend to use pieces from other dies like the scarf and skates from the snowman die.

Materials:
White glitter
Glossy Accents
Memory Box - Lady Dancing & Crisp Bow
Poppy Stamps - Frenchy
Dee's Distinctively - Small Alpine tree
Impression Obsession - Snowman (I used the scarf and skates)
Lawn Fawn - Stitched Hillside Borders

Holiday Front Door

Another very chilly morning, the temperature outside is 27 degrees.  Last week when we had the ice storm all the trees were coated in thick ice.  When the sun came out the trees were just breathtaking, creating a winter wonderland.  While walking outside you really have to be careful not to stand near the trees as the ice melts and falls to the ground.

Materials:
Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Brick folder
Poppy Stamps - Frosted Rood & Ledges, Dainty Corner & Grand Madison Door
Memory Box - Bright Lanterns & Scalloped Cake Stand
Impression Obsession - Fir Trees
Nuvo Crystal Drops in assorted colors

Poinsettia Branch

As we approach the holidays I hope everyone is doing fine and if not I am sending good wishes and hugs.  Our weather here has certainly turned wintery, today it is snowing, and then an ice storm by the end of the week.  I always look forward to reading other people's blogs, seeing their travels and being amazed at how creative they are.  It is wonderful to have vistors from all over the world, thank you internet.

Last night I looked out the window and here came four raccoons out of the forest making their way down to my bird feeder, no wonder I am filling it everyday now.  I just thought the birds were really hungry because it is so cold now.

I edged the poinsettia's with glossy accent and then dusted them with the Art Glitter.  I also coated all the berries with the glossy accents.

Materials:
Elizabeth Craft - Garden Notes Small Poinsettia
Spellbinders - 5 X 7 Matting Basics B
Poppy Stamps - Berry Sprig & Vintage Merry Christmas
Ranger - Glossy Accents
Art Glitter - Crystal (85) ultrafine transparent glitter
